SST's intervention in education through

Balwadi

Learning through play and fun in balwadis where pre schoolers are exposed to variety of toys and games at an early age. Encourage mother volunteers to get involved in balwadis which helps them to know better about facilities available and thereby enhance the facilities in these centres.

School

Improve the infrastructure of the schools by building additional classrooms, toilets, water supply and provide study and play materials. Improve quality of education by motivating teachers, education through audio visual methods, and removing disconnect between community and schools by strengthening Parent Teachers Associations.

Adult literacy

Eradicate illiteracy among women by establishing village level adult education centres. The local volunteers conduct classes from these centres in the evening and make them learn and write at least up to class 2level.
